If your one of the liberals that's recycling your posts from 2016 about leaving the country if Trump wins, you might actually want to take your own advice this time, as there may not be any recourse regarding the Democratic parties floundering around the subject of Joe Biden stepping down because he's turned into the most obvious 7000 year old man in the world.
Look, I already know what half of you reading this are gonna say: "What about Trump? Why not call for him to step down? Didn't you see he's all over the Epstein logs? He's a felon now, times 34. The access hollywood tapes, the Mcdonalds in the white house, the sharpie on the weather map......." cue an endless rant of accurate statements about Trump being a piece of shit and committing actual crimes that he just keeps getting away with. All of which you would be correct to point out.
I just have one question: Does anyone fucking care?
No, seriously. Ask yourself that. Look in the mirror, and ask yourself this very simple question. Does anyone who is supporting Donald Trump in 2024 give a flying fuck about Trump being a criminal? Do they even believe it? Does it matter? Especially when you could
show these people a VHS tape of Trump assaulting a room full of toddlers that was confirmed to be real footage by the Associated Press, Reuters, the BBC, and every news agency on every planet in the universe, and his current base of support would look you dead in the eyes, adjust their over-the-clothes golden diaper, bend the brim on their MAGA hat, and say "it's all fake news made to look Trump look bad".
Besides that, do you actually think that Donald Trump would step away from the candidacy due to public pressure?
Have you been asleep since 2016? Are you stupid?
Even if every major publication in the world was calling for Trump to step down from the race due to mental acuity problems and "being a confirmed criminal" problems and being named in the Epstein flight log problems, he still wouldn't do it. Why the hell would he? The more opposition Trump gets from journalism institutions, the more galvanized he and his base would be against them. Calling for Trump to step down is legitimately a waste of printer ink. The media spent 10 goddamn years pointing out every single thing this man did and it is the reason he has such an immovable base of support.
Seriously. Text your Trump friend right now and tell them how many times he was listed in the Epstein flight logs and see what their response is. They don't give a fuck.

Rules for Thee
If you haven't figured this out already, Republicans and Democrats are held to two entirely different standards by the media, and voters at large.
Here's a very simple breakdown: Democrats are expected to be the party of civility. Since they claim to have the moral high ground in just about every situation, anytime they operate even an inch below the moral ground, they are considered hypocritical by their own base and the opposition. Democratic voters tend to be as critical of their elected officials as they are supportive of them, and when Democratic officials are even accused of criminality, they typically either step down, get removed, or do not win the next race.
The media understands this very well and operates towards Democrats with this same attitude.
Republicans are known, rather expected, to do everything in their power to skirt current rules and regulations under the guise of "following the constitution". Republicans are allowed to go on tv, radio, newspapers and stand in front of schools where a mass shooting just took place, and lie. Republicans are allowed to lie. They are allowed to be hypocrites, they are allowed to advocate for positions that are demonstrably bad for their entire voter base, and the media will handle these positions with kid gloves, and their constituency will continue to vote for them. Republicans are expected to say that climate change is fake, blame domestic problems on vague foreign enemies, they are allowed to wear AR-15 lapel pins on the congressional floor, they are allowed to cut funding to healthcare and education and welfare because they have successfully convinced their voter base that every single institution in the United States is actively working against them, and assisting the hoards of illegal immigrants that are evidently clawing at the gates like zombies every election cycle according to Fox news.
The media understands the Republican relationship with their voter base and operate towards the Republicans with the same attitude.
I say all of that to make this one point: Donald Trump will not lose voters due to public pressure telling him to step down, nor will he lose voters if he goes on TV and lies constantly at his rallies (which he does), he will not lose voters if he advocates for Project 2025, and just like he stated way back in 2015, he would not lose voters if he shot someone in the middle of 5th avenue. There is not a single person on this planet that can replace Donald Trump in the voters minds.
Joe Biden will absolutely lose voters, and is losing voter confidence, because of his mental acuity problem. Joe Biden does not have the luxury of being Donald Trump. Right now, the media is currently hamming up every single minor mistake that Biden makes, and it's so incredibly obvious that its eating away at him and the Democrats in general. The Democrats, due to their insistence on "doing the right thing", are attempting to appear that they are in lock step as a party, while the leader of said party mistakes Zelensky with Putin at a NATO summit.
Every mistake Biden makes is going to be believed as real, and remembered by voters at the polls.
Every insane thing Trump does is going to be considered fake, and ignored by voters at the polls.
If the Democrats had the Trump voter base, the strategy of keeping Biden in the race at all costs would probably work. Good luck getting democratic voters to be as insanely nationalistic about Biden as MAGA is about Trump. There is absolutely no reality where Trump voters lose enough confidence in Trump to switch their vote to Biden, but there absolutely is a reality where Bidens age triggers apathy in Democrats to the point where they simply decide not to vote at all, or vote for a third party, which is effectively not voting in these circumstances.
Joe Biden does not have the luxury of being Donald Trump. This cannot be overstated.
Fairness
Is any of this fair? No, of course not. If your a sensible human being with a conscience, this entire situation is frustrating the shit out of you. It should. Joe Biden is absolutely not the best candidate that the Democrats could put forth, but it is the one that the DNC is going with, again. His age is showing, he's making way too many mistakes for the democratic constituency to justify, and his ability to appear a day under 7000 years old is depleting by the second.
Democratic voters are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Biden drops out of the race: bad idea.
Biden stays in the race: bad idea.
It seems that just about every path the Democrats could take will only further embolden Trump, as the GOP strategy for attacking Biden is allowing him to do and say whatever he wants while on camera, which is working, because Joe Biden doesn't have the luxury of being Donald Trump.
Joe Biden can't pretend that his age isn't effecting him. Joe Biden can't lie. Joe Biden isn't able to brush off media criticism the way that Trump does. He can't weather this and come out the other side stronger the way that Trump did, because Joe Bidens base of support isn't interested in lying to themselves.
As I stated earlier, ask your Trump friend about the Epstein evidence. They don't care.
Then, ask your Biden friend about Bidens most recent press conference, and debate: They care. They will remember come November.
If you want to stave off the Christian Theocracy Strategy that is Project 2025 for 4 more years, then you need to become a Biden supporter in the same way that your friend supports Trump. Ignore all the problems, stick to a single goal, and try to sleep at night knowing that you've picked your camp in Americas tribal politics that will inevitably be a loss for us all, because you know that Biden isn't Trump, and regardless of what happens in the 2024 election, the Heritage Foundation and Conservatives at large will continue to push to destroy the concept of Democracy.
Does Biden deserve to win?
No.
Does Trump deserve to lose?
Absolutely.
This mentality is the only thing that will potentially save us for 4 more years.
Then again, how many election cycles could this mentality possibly withstand?
Our politics are unsustainable. Our country is unsustainable.
I don't think the Democratic party is capable of fixing this. .
